EcoVadis Medal Rating

We Won a Bronze Medal!

In October 2023 we were awarded a Bronze EcoVadis Medal Rating.

What is Ecovadis? It’s a globally recognized assessment platform that rates businesses’ sustainability based on four key categories: environmental impact, labour and human rights standards, ethics, and procurement practices. EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, intelligence and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains. Backed by a powerful technology platform and a global team of domain experts, EcoVadis’ easy-to-use and actionable sustainability scorecards provide detailed insight into environmental, social and ethical risks across 200+ purchasing categories and 175+ countries.

Our Journey – A working group was set up and over the course of a few months a full audit of our practices was conducted. Along the way we were able to identify things we can improve on and things we are doing really well. Our position to implement sustainable delivery methods remains a priority and a short to mid term goal of the business is to improve our rating by achieving a Silver or Gold EcoVadis Medal Rating some day soon!

Did you know? 91% of companies take sustainability criteria into account in purchasing decisions and 85% of consumers are more likely to buy from a company with a reputation for sustainability than from a neutral company. (Source)

What does it mean? Getting a bronze medal placed us among the Top 50% of companies assessed by EcoVadis. We’ve been recognised as doing some pretty amazing things in the way we operate our business and as a services organisation, we are extremely proud to be awarded this accreditation.

To celebrate the completion of the assessment, EcoVadis planted a tree on our behalf through their partnership with One Tree Planted.

A priority at Opticore is to continue to work on improving our sustainability and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG). Watch this space!
